What should I wear for an outdoor photoshoot?
The colours you choose to wear will vary for each season. For example during a spring or summer shoot, soft neutral colours work well. For an autumn or winter shoot – bold colours work well.
Dress for your environment
Wear clothes you would normally for that environment and from there make your outfits a little smarter than usual.
Choose a colour scheme for your family photos and coordinate with each other, but try not to match.
Choose colours which bring out your eye colour
Blue eyes – blues, yellow and pinks.
Green eyes – greens, yellows and browns.
Brown eyes – red, browns, greens.
Choose clothes which are a good fit, particularly with children.
Layering and using different textures can add a lot of dimension and interest to your photos, i.e cardigans and jackets.
Accessories can work well. I.e hats, scarves, jewellery and hair bands.
What to avoid wearing;
Try to avoid black, neon and very bright colours.
Clothing with pictures/slogans/logos.
Overall, try to choose clothes you feel body confident in. If you feel good in what you're wearing, this will shine through for the camera and your images.
I look forward to 'capturing the moments' for you!
